Hi, I’m Brian Moran. I am the co-founder (along with my younger brother Scott) of SamCart, and the founder of Get 10,000 Fans, where I teach online business how to use Facebook to grow their business and get more customers.
My mission with this blog is to help people like you uncover the shortcuts to winning in business and life.
This site will contain my thoughts on running an online business, launching a start-up, direct marketing, building and leading small teams, productivity, and the mental side of winning in business and life.
My goal is to give you the shortcuts I discovered along the way to achieve the results I have. These shortcuts have helped me start a business online (Get10000Fans.com) at the age of 24, and grow it to over $3,000,000 in sales in less than 2 years. I used these shortcuts again to launch my first software start-up (SamCart.com), where we’ve generated over $1,000,000 in our first year, built a team of 15 insanely smart engineers, marketers, and support experts…and helped over 2000 people launch their own online business using our shopping cart software.
Most importantly, I was able to do all of this while maintaining a balanced lifestyle that lets me spend time with the people I cherish most…my wife Aimee and daughter Teagan.
If you’re trying to build a business that lets you create the lifestyle you want and gives you the freedom to be where you want to be, when you want to be there — then this blog is for you.
I typically post once a week, occasionally more, occasionally less. To make sure you don’t miss my newest posts, you can subscribe via email by clicking here. It’s quick, easy, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
I attended Grove City College in Grove City, PA where I majored in marketing management and played more baseball than I attended classes (no, not because I skipped class). My life up until 22 years old was 110% about baseball. I was named to the Rawlings 1st Team All-America in 2008 and won the Rawlings Gold Glove Award for being the best collegiate outfielder in the country.
After an injury cut my career short right after graduation, I launched TrainBaseball.com, where I coached baseball players online through ebooks and video courses. This was my first introduction to the world of online marketing and entrepreneurship…after that, I was hooked.
18 months later I launched my second website, Get10000Fans.com, where I taught online business how to use Facebook to grow their business and get more customers. I only play a semi-active role in that business now. After 5 years of selling training products online, I realized it was an enormous challenge for people to launch an online store and collect credit cards, something which is essential to generating revenue online.
So, in 2014, my brother Scott and I decided to launch our first software start-up with SamCart, a shopping cart built for new online entrepreneurs who were trying to get their online business off the ground. It’s our goal to empowers thousands of aspiring business-owners to make their first sale online, and grow a business their proud to stand behind.
I have been married to my wife, Aimee, for six years. We have a new daughter, Teagan, and we live outside of Baltimore, Maryland.
In my free time, I enjoy playing sports (the favorites are baseball/softball, golf, basketball, ping-pong, and football) reading, exercising, and struggling to play the guitar. I am a member of Grace Community Church in Fulton, Maryland, where I met my wife in high school.
